4 door mopar cars

-
No offense, but newer 4 door mopes just can't hold my attention no matter what it is.
I agree. Again, no offence to anyone, but when I heard Ma Mopar was coming back out with the Charger, I was excited. When I learned they were going to be 4 doors, I lost all interest.

Id pull the trigger on an old 4 door but around here they think they are gold already.

I didn't care for the four door Charger, but they are the number one selling passenger car in America. Used ones still fetch a good price, as do the Challengers.

I felt the same until my wife bought one. Now I absolutely love them. It is our cross country cruiser, 375 hp and it gets 30+ mpg @ 75 mph.

I purchased a new Challenger in 2016, and still have it, although I opted for the 3.6.Beautiful car, fast enough for me. I used to have an R/T, but I got three spee

ding tickets with it,,,,from the same Cop!

3.6 with 300 HP ain't bad. I was very impressed with how well they run.

I use cruise control in town, too easy to go fast. My wife also had to learn to keep an eye on the speedometer, but she does not have the same problem as I do.

the 3.6 challenger at least in 2016 was tested on the track to be 14.3-14.6.
My 69 340 Dart in 1969 was tested in numerous magazines @14.3-14.9 depending on driver.
Good enough for me.

What is a pleasure to drive, has 12 doors, 810 horsepower, one manual & two automatic transmissions?

My 1970 4-door collection.

My '65 four-door then (running 1/4 mile in high 12's) and now (running in the 8's) New owners painted it black and "upgraded" the drivetrain a "little".

Being a fan of Euro touring-sedans, I've really liked the Gen-II Intrepid and Chargers. If they kept building the Intrepids...I'd be buying them.

Great lines, worked well, and ours was GTG at 150K, when we sold it for a Charger. Our Intrepid was probably the best new car we've owned.

Nice borrowed pic...

Our Interpid was a good car but liked transmissions. Twice for the wife and I and twice when we gave it to our daughter. After 3 transmissions and almost 200K ( different shops different states) I told the daughter to get a cab home and tell the auto shop to keep the car. She sent them the title a few days later. She bought a Saturn and put over 200K on it.Sold it for what she paid and has a Honda Pilot now.

My son purchased a 4 door Valiant for $550 when he was 14. COVID closed school so he restored it and loves it. At 16 now and his friends sit comfortably in the back. My 64 is a 4 door, I daily it in the summer. Easy back seat access for purchased parts.

I was made fun of for having a 4 door drag car.But when in the staging lanes where was everybody sitting ?
IN MY CAR ! I went to hit the head and when I got back all 4 doors were open and guys were sitting there.
I was like WHAT'S UP ? Our cars are too hard to get in and out of with race seats and door bars....
I didn't mind. But I did say "Go ahead and make fun of me now !!!"

Is it just my imagination or have 4 door cars become a hot item these days?

I kinda became obsessed with 4 door valiants 68/9 and I have had a lot of positive comments on my current project which is a 68 valiant 4 door.

I had an old fart see it and assumed I bought a 4 door because "I couldn't find a 2 door" till I showed him all the 2 door cars i have lol.

I'm not sure if the new found interest is due to 60s /70 s more doors being a rare sight, or if it's just a generational thing and younger people are more familiar with seeing 4 doors cars.

My progression in the mopar hobby is me starting out with E body cudas, then moving to B bodies 68-70. Then to a 2 door 72 dart, then I fell in love with dusters. Now I'm on to 4 door valiants and I ask myself why I didn't buy a 4 door valiant years ago.

Anyone else progressed to 4 door cars lol

I have a 68 Valiant 200 4 door. 47k miles, I love it. Going to make a sleeper out of it. I see any car of that time period increasing in price. They all are just getting harder to find. At least here in the rust belt.

I have a 72 Valiant, originally 318 3 on the tree, now 318 Magnum 3 on the floor. 60,000 miles.

A few years back I got this one out of Arizona from a member here. 273 with air and factory bucket seats.

I love 4 door cars! Don’t have any A bodies right now. The princess of Valiant’s bought them all! Lol. I still have a 1969 Satellite, two 1964 Belvedere 4 doors and a 1967 Belvedere I 4 door. Don’t be hatin’ crew cabs!
