Got everything that matters done, carb pretty damn close to ideal down low and mid, another 100 miles or so and ready to flog. Just weighed the front and rear. 2030lbs front, 1410lbs rear (3440lbs total) for a 59/41 weight distribution (61/39 with my *** in it) just about like a 69 Barracuda w/440, horrible! If weekend is dry I might get some video

Got the 255/60-15 Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S's mounted on some Wheel Vintiques 15x8's (Ford/Chevy style, I think they look more period correct as I'm going for a vintage 60's super stock look) and swapped out the exhaust system for the 3" collector extensions, getting it ready for the drag strip. Gotta lower the air pressure to around 18psi after I ease on down to a back road for some practice launches, really hoping for something resembling traction, with the Cooper's it just burns on into 2nd and just gets really squirrelly. After getting it all setup, will work on some video

Will definitely be looking into that. I've got it down to 3370 lbs, 3330 with exhaust removed. The distribution is now about 61/39, and with me in it even worse. Will all be a learning experience for sure!

Last time I went down a 1/4 mile was in 1986, wore an old vintage Budweiser labeled open helmet!, used a beer can for a coolant catch can, and passed tech! I "think" I have it ready to pass any street car tech. I've done a lot in this van, in it's earlier life: camping, 1500 mile trips, partying, drinking, sleeping in (vs. the doghouse), oh, and ahem.... extra curricular activities, beach trips, hauling stuff, commuting....all with a slant six. Now for something completely different!
Got a GoPro, the mounts, ...been a long wait I know!

Ok, 2nd run, 32 years since last on track boy do I need practice! First run on M/T ET Street SS's no burnout, spun some, 60' was like 2.3 and ran 8.28@85mph. Second run a mild smoky burnout, and launched at about 2500rpm. Running video, working towards a run worth posting!
you're flirtin with the 14's there in somethng with the aerodynamics of a chest freezer! not bad!!!
Get that thing to 60' and you will put down some time.
At least it is faster that the slant ever though of being.
I had one of those old van years ago I wish I would have held on to it. Slant, 3 on the tree, drove it everywhere, dead reliable.

Looking at the wrong side sir, his I'm thinking is the 8.05. That is a solid mid 12 sec van, love it!!
