Well it was the bomb back in the day when we were that age as well. Sometimes the old movies don't impress as much because of all the technology we've seen and the investments we've seen and movie making.. that and our age now as opposed to then...
a lot of times I watch movies like escape from New York with Kurt Russell and a lot of it's pretty damn corny LOL.. take for instance Total recall with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Back in the day when I seen it it was mind-blowing but I seen it maybe 3-4 years ago and all I could wait for was the three boobies....lol...

I just put 7 quarts of oil in my eight quart oil pan so it never dips into anything...

You should be looking at the Isahara-Johnson crank scraper even if you’re not shifting at 8k or higher.
Anything you can do to get the oil off the crank and rods is a big deal at any RPM. It also helps with entrained air in the oil.

I bought one after the first convo we had about it. Just wondering what this guy is doing. If he doesn't have enough methods of controlling windage he will only have a few good runs to 8k
