I have come to learn my Frankenstein cuda has a 518 transmission in it. The crate motor from Blueprint shows the weighted balancer and to use a weighted flexplate (pre-magnum B&M 10239) and a neutral balance converter. The converter in the transmission now does have a weight welded on. Is it as easy as taking the weight off and using it. Looking for some info from those that have done this.

I have. I replaced the engine in my 88 Ram from a blown 360 to 318.
Carefully drill the spot welds out and tap them off. Did this 10 years and still running.

I've done it both ways several times... weights on and off... no big deal...

The A518 (46RH) is a 727 derivative, and should use B&M 10236, if I am not mistaken. The B&M 10239 is for A904 and A500 (42RH).
@Johnny Mac should clear it up for you.
