Has anyone converted a single pot master cylinder to a dual and used the original Kelsey Hayes Proportioning valve? I plan to route the brake tube from the master cylinder directly into the check valve just below the Proportioning valve. Picture of mine is attached.

On my '66 Barracuda with factory front disc brakes my mechanic kept the original proportioning valve when I switched from single to dual. Manual brake car. That was about 4 years & 2K miles ago with no issues.

Can't think of any reason why that wouldn't work.
The only purpose I can think of for routing to the distribution block (as done '67 up) was to incorporate the brake failure switch.

Since you're keeping the original check valve, you could remove the check valve from the front outlet of the tanden master cylinder. It is rendundent. However, in theory the redundency wouldn't hurt operation.
