I've read through several threads but, seems the more I see, the more confused I get.
I am doing a complete rewire with a Painless universal type harness on a '67 Valliant.
I believe it is a 2-speed motor and I believe the switch is correct.
I have a factory wiring diagram as well as the one I am showing here.
The factory diagram does not show what wire goes to what terminal on the wiper motor, it just shows 4 wires going to it.
The diagram I found makes sense except that the motor in the car I am working on does not have a resistor on it.
From some post I saw somewhere, the resistor is what allows the change in speeds.
I have seen threads that say it is not to be found.
So, does anyone know what the value of the resistor is supposed to be?
I can get a ceramic resistor but, need to know how many ohms it is.
Pictures are of switch I have, motor in car, and wiring diagram I found.
The old wiring is long gone so, I have no reference. This car was poorly rewired years ago and I am doing it again.
The owner thinks the wipers worked at some point but, I do not see how with out the resistor.

For what it is worth, good or bad, found this:

"Painless" is an oxymoron!

I have 2 67 Darts, one built in Nov 66 and one in Feb of 67.

The Nov 66 build uses a wiper motor that was also used on 66 cars. The Feb 67 uses a wiper motor used in 67.

Both are 2 speed, both are physically different from each other

BUT...

Neither looks like your motor.

Your motor looks like the 68 or 69 and later motor as it sticks straight out.

Not to say it will not work but the wiring may be very different.

Now maybe Valiant is different?

The angle one is the 3-speed/variable
The other is the 2-speed.

Both of the non sticking out ones are 2 speed.

Numbers on the housings match the parts book.

Both switches in both cars are 2 speed.
Ok I learned something new today. I have never looked into the difference in the two motors you referenced.

The first one (you have as 66 style) is 2808767
The second one (you have as 67 style) 2808801

Both my 67s have the 2808767 with a 2-speed switch.

I had two different Valiants both 67s, they had the 2808801 with 2-speed switches.
One of these was a stripped out basic 170, 3-speed manual, the other a 273 auto. Doubt the switch was swapped out on either.

I'm pretty sure both the 2808767 & 2808801 will work with the variable switch.

I recall seeing a note somewhere about the mid middle year motor change from the 66 style to the 67 style.
Both of my 2 speed switches look just like the ops

From crowd sourcing the wiring in the above thread, three, possibly four, wiper motors were used in '67
Any additional documentation will be apppreciated.

Summary of the wiring in the following post:
Wiper Motors found on 1967 Model Year A-bodies.
2822 930: Variable speed. Green, Red, Blue, Brown at connector
2770 137?: Variable speed with variable speed switch; 3 wires at connector
2822 962 : Variable speed ? with variable speed switch; 3 wires at connector
2822 962 : Variable speed with two speed switch; Red, Blue, Brown at connector
2822 963 : 2 speed, white switch plate, 2 speed switch; Red, Blue, Brown at connector.

2822 962 : Variable speed with two speed switch; Red, Blue, Brown at connector
2822 963 : 2 speed, white switch plate, 2 speed switch; Red, Blue, Brown at connector.
These are the two I have.

962 is in the 11/66
963 is in the 2/67

Both have 3 wires.

Not sure any of this helps the OP though!

The 2 speed and the variable speed use a resister to change the speed, later and other motors use different windings in the motor make the speeds and to park the wipers.

These use the park switch
and friction to park.
