'68 Barracuda Conv. slant 6-->383

-
Thanks Eddie, now it will look like a 68 from the grille. I have side marker lights for the fenders too, 67 parts will be no more.

Anyone have the fender badge location specs? Use the 67 badges and move em behind the wheel well? or do find 68 badges?

Going to need a Plymouth badge for the header panel also I believe.

Ok, wondered after seeing others.....
So I either look for a finished 68 to trade for or re-do the back in 67.....
or re-cover my buckets and back.....

Spend money or spend alot of money :(

Its going to eat you up,It has already eaten me up!
Flip a coin Spend money or spend alot of money.
At the end I am very happy,Where do you see these cars?
There is none around except on here.

Darryl

Removed the mulch heap from the backseat and trunk also.

Wow! Get the car up off the ground but on its own wheels (set on blocks).
Jack car with the doors closed and jack under the rear end then the k member.
Once that is done crawl underneath and check the frames for rust, use a scew
driver and poke at it.
If there is rust there then there is going to be a lot of work.
Hopefully the frames are Ok. That could of been a wet carpet and stored out side.
Darryl

Apperently it was sitting under an apple tree for 5 years uncovered with a trashed top..... first priority will be getting the drive train out of the polara and getting that heap out of the way. Then putting the cuda on jacks. Limited on work space.

Mine were the same, the frames were solid, but the floor was rusted.
Added frame connecters for strength.
Yours looks solid from the pics. Most likely what you said being stored
under the tree with a torn top.
It works for Fred Flinstone.

Looks like another good project.

On your grilles yoy are going to have to find the rest of the pieces. The chrome that goes around the plastic is different and the surrounds that chrome bolts to has different mounts also.

I will be moving the badges to the door side of the fenders per the 68 style, I also have some 383 badges.

Does anyone have a list of measurements and/or good picture of the 68 383/script fender locations?

Thank you
Lee

68s said 383-S on the hood inserts. Seeing as this is a restomod, put them where you want them. I also have a 68 droptop.

I haven't had a chance to tear into the cuda yet, been waiting on the garage to be built..... but I did get a new to me 2003 Ram 2500 Hemi.

Should pull my trailer a lot better then the old Jeep Cherokee 4.0
