The car is ROUGH and needs a complete restoration. The paint was stripped in 1982 so it’s covered with surface rust. The driver’s quarter was replaced at some point and needs patches. The passenger quarter also needs patches as well as the rocker. The fenders are rough.

The original 383, exhaust manifolds and K-frame are all missing as is the fender tag and buildsheet. It now has a supposedly hot 340, but it hasn’t run since the 80’s. I found a time slip under the back seat that reads 12.78 @ 108.3

Some of the good stuff it does still have are the decor package, 150 speedo, an uncracked sport wheel, KH discs, 8 ¾ with 3.23 sure grip, 833 four speed, the original 383 carb and engine mounts, spare grill, tons of trim, solid floors with the torque boxes, and more I’m not thinking about.

The wheels, tires and hubcaps in the pictures are from my Valiant and are staying with me. The car came with one Radar wheel, three crappy 5 x 4.5 wheels with adapters and a set of fiberglass fenders which will go with the car.

Obviously it’s worth more in parts than it is whole, but I’d rather see someone build it than part it so I'm not parting it out at this time. If it doesn't go in a few weeks I'll consider it then.

Thanks. I don't want to do this and I'll spare everyone the hard luck story, but it was this or my Valiant. It took me too many years to find the Valiant and I can drive it now. The Dakota in the background is going too...

Looks like a decent car to restore, don't part it somebody will buy it.
You might want to post some more info like, year of engine, is the motor free or stuck.
Do you have a title? And couple better shots of the interior.
The car does look fairly solid.
If I did not already have a project I would be interested.

Sorry about the rough times, best of luck on your sale.

Good luck with the sale although I doubt you will have it long. I wish I could take it off your hands, but can't at the moment. I was interested in it when you bought it in Bensalem.

can i get some info on the truck? r/t version? 2or 4 wheel drive? year/make/model? price?

The truck is a 98 with a 5.2 and a T56 from a Viper. I'm asking $4600 and am pretty firm.

For sale post

It is a real big block, 4 speed car, but being a 68 Chrysler doesn't have the build card due to the fire and without that or the fender tag there is no way to get a build sheet. I was also told that 68 did not have the numbers stamped into the radiator support or trunk edge and I don't see them.

As far as the engine goes, it has no stamping along the pan rail so I have no idea what it came out of. I haven't tried to start it, nor would I since it's been sitting so long. It may run well with a little coaxing, but you should assume it needs a complete rebuild and if it doesn't it is a bonus.

The transmission is also missing any stamp on the pad, there is a picture of that above. The guy I got it from said it was a Hemi box, but I seriously doubt that.

Just for the record, I paid more than I'm asking. I found a hood for it and a set of seat cores which go with the car, but I sold the six pack that came with the car so I'm just breaking even at what I think is a fair price. There's money to be made parting it out, but I sure hope someone puts it together. Like everyone else I'm not in this for the money, but sometimes you got to do what you got to do.

The car is in the north east corner of Maryland if you want to come look at it.

If you part it I might be interested in the motor mounts since your local as long as they are for a 383. Hope you dont part it though, good luck with the sale.

I have been watching the various pics of 68 fish as they appear and have a question about the steering wheel centers. Most pics I have seen show some kind of chevron but this one has a rubber center with something else, not sure what.

I have a steering wheel with a similar rubber center but it has a fish in the center. What's with that?

If you decide to part out I would be interested in some items.

If you part it out, Im interested in the 4speed and linkage. Im 2 hours away from you

I am hoping someone takes it and restores it as I intended to do. There are a ton of good parts if it comes to parting it, but it'll be about a month before I have to consider that.

Some more pictures of the bad (quarters, trunk floor, door striker) and the decent (window channel).
