Has anyone restored a set of Deluxe Buckets out of a 68 fish? They have a cardboard panel at the back of the seat back, and the used buckets I bought were missing these and I have no idea how to attach the new panels. Do these new cardboard pieces need to be trimmed first, they look like they are too big, they come with four square holes in them so I presume I need some sort of clip.

They were pretty flimsy and buckled.

There's the clips that they slide up to the top and then at the bottom are two phillips head screws to hold them in place.
Are Dart ones the same? IF so, I'll take a picture of mine when I get home. There are four metal pieces attached to the board. There is also a solid metal strip across the bottom.
Where did you get your new ones? I looked through the Legendary catalog but I must have missed them. One of mine is broken...the other very nasty.

Unfortunately, no one is repopping those clips. The manufacturer of the repo seat back boards advises that the original clips and lower metal re-inforcement rail must be re-used on the new repo boards.
Those clips and metal rails can be found on any A-body or B-body bucket seat from 1968-1969.
Here is a picture of the one from my Dart. Is this what yours looks like? They were both sitting loose inside the car when I bought it. There are four metal clips and a metal piece all the way along the bottom. There are two philips head screws at each bottom corner.
Yes that is the same as mine, I dug the plastic wrap out of the garbage and there was a decal on it that said Original Automotive Reproductions. (Repops) I purchased mine from a place called Reproduction Parts Marketing, their number is 306 652-6668 they cost $46.95 cdn for the set. Don't lose those clips, it sounds like you would have to buy the seat that they are attached to if you wanted another set. Thanks for the pic now I know what I need to make. Oh by the way, you only get the cardboard they don't come with any upholstery on them. When I got my seat covers from legendary they included two pieces of material to attach to the cardboard.
