Yes, thats one of them. You sold me two and that is the better of the two. I would like to find someone to refinnish one or both. Know anyone that does that kind of work?Is that the trunk finish panel you got from me? Lookin good!
I used a combination of paint stripper, enamel reducer, scotch bright pads, and elbo greaseI need to find a painless way to remove rustoleum paint from my trunk floor. Any ideas?
Very nice. I'm working on a 67 Valiant right now. It's my first project car and is giving me fits. Reckon I should have more experience, but now I'm committed. Wish you were here to help. BillSpent this weekend stripping the front end, getting ready to shoot some paint under the hood. Its a real mess getting rid of the rattle can black. Got the bumpers ready to ship out for chrome, shipped out the wiper motor and dash speedo bezel for rebuild, rebuilt the heater box. ive got all new wiring ready, along with under dash insulation. Ill be able to finish up the 8 3/4 when the backing plates show.
Did you make that hood or buy it? Looks good. BillFinished the pins and adjusting the hood, ill paint and mount the scoop at a later time. I want to install the motor before mounting the scoop, to get the location correct.
Its an AAR hood which is now Stinger fiberglass out of floridaDid you make that hood or buy it? Looks good. Bill
Attaching points any better on Stinger than AAR? They had problems a few years ago- speaking of which, I believe the "Green Brick" Valiant was one of the cars I know of that the customers weren't happy about. Thoughts (not trying to be a jackhole, just wondering if everything is 'kosher' now)[/QUOTE
Well, i dont know. I have an AAR bolt on (hinged) hood on my 69 dart. and its twice the hood, and also twice the weight. It was gel coated white and close to perfect. It has AAR molded into the underside. This Stiger hood i would classify as a "race only" (pin on) hood. Its grey gel coat that looks pretty thin, its half or a third the weight, and has a stinger decal molded into the bottom resin. If i remember, it was about a hundred bucks cheaper. I dont have any reason to talk bad about it, it fit pretty good. I do wonder if it will hold up at 120MPH without a center pin. The scoop appears to be a pretty nice heavy unit and hopefully it will add a little stiffness once bolted on. Is Stinger a new company? if i understand correctly, Stinger baught out AAR.
