I just noticed the lamp is burnt out on the driver front fender of my '71 Dart GT. I crawled under it to see how it comes out. I wiggled it, pulled it and twisted it but it didn't budge. So, instead of breaking something, I thought I'd ask for guidance.

In my Google search, it looks to me that the bulb's socket is a push-in/pull-out type similar to these:

Can anyone confirm?

If this is not the case, what then?

i believe you unscrew the amber lens from inside fender backside to access. you may have to remove the whole assembly if there is corrosion or undercoating. try not to tear your paint gasket.

the red rears pull out/snap out from inside trunk like you would expect.

someone can confirm its been a while since i messed with mine.

It just snaps into place and yea it can be difficult to get out without fear of breaking it. It’s probably easiest to unplug the harness and remove the lens altogether to see what you’re working with.

I just went through this a year ago.
