No rush on my account.Hopefully it's right close to that. I will let you know ASAP
Just read an interesting article in motor trend saying they measured theirs at 283 @ .050.I know how the marketing dept came up with the .050 numbers for the MP performance grinds.
The problem is……. When I’ve measured them…… the numbers don’t correlate to the .85 figure.

Who knows, that may have been you ???
OkayNope……. Not me.

I will measure the cam and hope it's smaller lol, I am running 12.9 cr, 1 Good thing is , I haven't yet ordered the converter but this size cam is about the size the owner of turbo action assumed initially I was running, then I listened to him tell me how small the cam was in the engine and had to agree.283@50 sounds huge for a 470. Hope it’s a light car with lots of compression and vert.
What? don't like the operating range. lolJeeeeez
Something about a factory block worries me just a tiny bit lolWhat? don't like the operating range. lol
Yeah, that's true.Generally, you have to be willing to give up something at the lower end of the power band to run cams with that kind of duration.

Okay, then I should say the lack of spare 400 blocks that nobody wants.Basically, no one had aftermarket blocks when those cams were popular.
And most BBM bracket cars had factory heads on them.
Your typical bowl ported stock heads are only going to make so much power.
You had something pretty damn good if it made a legit 600hp.
That's a monster for sftA little more duration than the [email protected] we ran in the early 1980’s but way less lift .750
That's a monster for sft
Lol, the thought is funny.Sorry buddy I just saw this and all I could think about was your bet with Boosted. Lol

I think I will be able to keep the car with me in it just under 3000 pounds.
I may however have to change the 4.10 gear to 4.56s to help .
ThanksSounds good, should rip!
That’s likely a roller.That's a monster for sft
Not sure where to interject my thoughts here but, I just noticed you're considering? swapping the cam out? While it might be worth a gain...Personally I would leave it alone!!! Too many potential troubles IMO and it made GOOD power. AND IT'S DONE (one part of the whole program that's done. NOTHING IS PERFECT. Only way I'd swap things is if you converted to a solid roller. Thanks
