Woops...good news is the chassis is totally overbuilt and there's zero damage, but the 360 not so much.
My buddy and I are good, body wise car is perfect however I sent a rod through the bottom of the block. Pulled the passenger head earlier, no damage on that side but theres chinks of cast steel in the lifter valley so hopefully it's just chunks of the block and not the pistonMan you ok? What did you break?
Been a hellish 2 weeks personally, but the Dart is now down at my works shop so I can work on it over the winter. Just ordered Dr. Diff's version of the Detroit tru-trac since the thing needed a posi really bad and it's cheaper. Once I have the motor pulled and at the builder's shop, I'm going to asses the damage to the K-frame from going in the ditch last month and see if it needs to be replaced. I also made a parts list to go to EFI if the extra cash is available, come springtime. After a bunch of research, 65-68 Mustang fuel tanks fit between the frame rails when turned longways so a Holley sniper retrofit tank will work for my build.
I would go with an OE style tank BUT my floor is cut out for the current fuel cell I have and the mustang tank actually cover the entire area I'd need to replace to run a factory tank. I did see those tanks though, wish I would've before a bit the bullet and cut the trunk pan last year...Tanks inc makes a EFI tank for your model. I have one for my Dart. Hopefully, starting mockup this weekend.
