71 Duster 360 (new project)

After working 3 days...I have come to the conclusion that working SUCKS....that is all..
 
Now I remember why I went back to work....It is Pay Day tomorrow....oh boy...taxes in Kalifornia SUCK....
 
And you thought they stuck it to your on you reg. check......Hahahahahaha
Wait till you see what happens to your over time check....
Dam State balances it's budget on the backs of the working man...

OH....the reg hour and OT hours are all on one check....almost 40% of the gross....IRS, SS, Cal income tax..and Cal Disability too..

Will get the Cal income tax back in a refund since I will only be working here for 5 weeks....just have to file for refund

Will have a little extra to work on those cars with....maybe get some new paint on that 71 Duster....kid liked the sassy grass green
 
Oooooo... New Paint would be Sweet..... Or send a couple heads down the street, to Steve Morgan for some porting... :)
 
B-eautiful day in Lost Wages! caught some of the divisional last night and today! Sassy Grass would look REALLY nice on that car!
 
Yeah...hopefully my last day is Nov 21,,,,then spend the week of thanksgiving with the family...go home on Friday after, go to work on new job on Monday ,,,

starting to make a list of improvements I want to do on each car over the winter months...

really need to get a few cars painted....71 Duster and 73 Duster in that order...

71 Dart probably needs a new fuel cell..go from 5 gallon to 8 gallon cause of the use of E85,,,,new fuel pump since that one is 8 yrs old...new rear shocks..put some DA shocks instead of the single adjustable...maybe change out valve springs since those have been on there for several years now...might look at beehive springs...not sure since these flat tappets don't require a large spring pressure...the PAC spring are not that expensive
 
Street car supernationals and turkey day race? .....or are you done for the year.
 
Wont be home until after Thanksgiving.....but after today...I might just quit.....lol
 
Well...Job #2 called today to make sure I was coming to work in Dec 1.....that was nice phone call...that job is back in Vegas...
 
Work all day..... sand prep and spray at night!! you now have a plan! :)

actually since my GF works at night....after I get off i can go play with the car into the evening without having to worry about our "relationship"...lol

No work this weekend...worked both sat and sunday last weekend.....

next week monday tuesday and wednesday work.....eat turkey will family on thursday...than back to vegas on friday...and finally see the sun again...
 
Tomorrow Wednesday is my last day of work on this project in Elk Grove Ca.

Turn in truck and get final check tomorrow afternoon. Probably have dinner with family on Thursday and blow out of Sacto on Friday morning....if I dont strangle a brother in law...now i remember why I live 575 miles away in Vegas....
 
My first round of brother-in-law's :banghead:. Fortunately the three I've have in round two are great.

Picked up a 72 360 block tonight with fresh .020 bore ..brass freeze plugs..cam bears....10/10 crank ..plus rods and pistons which I will not use...for a great price of 200 bucks...

going to be a candidate for spare motor...
