hello i have a 67 dart with a cold case radiator and a 1980 360 727. Im looking for stainless lines for them since i have stainless all around the car already but i dont know what id look for. I have lines to them already but they cut them when removing the motor so even if i kept them i dont know what fitting size i would need for the cold case radiator or even the fitting size on the 727. Sorry im still learning its my first build. thank you

Look at inline tube

They probably have what you need.

If you want to do it yourself, typically there is a male / male fitting on the transmission. Pipe thread on one end and a flare fitting on the other

The same most likely holds true for the trans mission end.

You can go to the parts store and buy a couple size tubes with female flare nuts on the ends.

Not like brake line tube which have male fittings on them.

Test in each fitting for proper fit then buy the length you need.

This may or may not fit your car. It's just for example

yea i was looking into inline also seems legit. But what size are the trans cooler lines usually i see one that says 5/16 and the other says like 1/8th?

1/8 way too small

5/16 maybe 3/8"

Unless you are racing 5/16 will be fine.

What may be different is the location of the fittings on the trans 904 vs 727.

5/16” is the line size, 1/8” is the pipe fitting size that goes in the transmission.

I got all my lines from inline and everything fit perfectly... they are local to me and it's a really nice shop.

Just a heads up, stainless lies are hard to bend. Often those replacement lines will need some tweaking in order to get them to fit correctly.

Stainless can also be hard to get to seal. You have to tighten, loosen, tighten a few times. I have run both and would probably do non-stainless the next time just for the sealing aspects.

1/8" pipe is the thread in the transmission. I don't have a link, but pictures of the factory inverted flare fitting
