You need a cam in the 3/4 inch range.

I don't think my stock block build will ever get much rowdier than it is now.
I’m running this cam and I think it would work good for him. Jim could maybe add a little more lift if he felt he needed it.
I'm actually good with keeping the lift down under .670'ish but I definitely need more duration than I currently have.
That'll do it.

I went 10.60s with a 508 in my 360 and iron heads, they are not a bad cam.
I just mentioned that because most nice heads flow well up into the .700 lift range.
Races got rained out this weekend and I was jonesing for a hit so I decided to make a 10 second milk run….

It was a real shame as he really did have a cool car.

Yeah, they don't mess around with chit like that. I made the same mistake on a Jeep I built to race off road. Wanted to have it registered to drive on the street and by the time I was finished, they wouldn't let me. lol
