Yep that would be cool, I have a few autos sitting around myself that may need a rebuild one day. Excited to see it go back together and see what go fast goodies are being included.

Your gunna laugh some more too. The Master Cylinder is leaking bad and the front brakes are squealing. Sounds more to me like a bearing is going bad..... So while it is down I will be investigating the brakes & wheel bearings, and throwing on a NEW Master Cylinder. :banghead:

Spring Fling is coming up fast and your expected to be there with the Scamp.

I know that since Butch quit doing them in Socal, the lower cost rebuilds have not been as available.

I might start to do this if I can get it going and charge reasonable prices.

There are already plenty of step by step Video's online. The 727 Video's on Youtube and some other ones there also on the 904. Between those videos and another DVD floating around there is enough info.

Put it this way..... If I can pull it off you can too!

playing hard to get I see,

No way..... The reason is I don't have a video camera that will last while I do it. I have my Iphone but I would need a stand. Plus it is a messy job. Need 2 people to do a good video and I roll solo..... haaa

i will send you a case of beer and a iphone charger. you can lean the phone against the beer and plug the phone in.lol anything else i can help with?

Whoever worked on this car was a TOTAL BUTCHER.

There are degrees of totality.
But this sounds familiar.......I may have bought a car from him.
Let me ask you this.......did he patch the front foot well / floor board with copper sheeting and tar paper..........riveted in ? :D:D
I think I bought a dirt bike from the guy too.......half metric and half SAE bolts.
That is a nice looking car though.......and I feel your pain re; buying a paint job and interior.
If this was the old west , it would have ended way differently. lol
The thing that killed me .......... and I have no issue with anyone's faith......but my seller ended every email with " God Bless " , so I was more than a little surprised.
I clearly misunderstood him when he wrote " rebuilt from bumper to bumper " ............... A typo that should have said You will need to rebuild everything from etc. etc.
My big mistake was buying it from out of state and having it shipped to me , so I know it could have been worse.
Count my blessings ( no pun intended ) and move along.:banghead::banghead:

Ordered the RMVB today with Low Band Apply from Joe at Tranzact.
Ordering the converter on Monday. Pretty sure I am going with Ultimate Converter. Lenny's customer service is outstanding. He was at the track today and called me back from his Cell Phone within 5 minutes of me leaving a message at his shop. Price was also a factor $890.00 compared to $1100-$1150.00 from the other companies I called.

9.5", Anti Ballooning plate, 3 Stator, Billet Front Cover. Said it should stall to around 3800-4000 RPM. Will flash higher on a T Brake. Ready for whatever.

All the parts are here so I started assembly this morning. I worked on it for about 1 hour familiarizing myself with the kit and the other parts that I ordered.

First thing I did was assemble the 24 spring return assembly and got it installed. The tool I made works great. It all went together very easily. Hardest part was making sure all 24 springs were in their pocket before I started.

I got the front clutch pack loaded with 5 Clutches. I need to have the Pressure plate shaved down right at .075", The Rear Clutch went together really smooth and is within spec .035" , After the front Pressure Plate gets shaved down I will soak the clutches in Type F Fluid for about 30 minutes and put both clutch packs back together.

I also rebuilt the pump assembly with the new Hardened pump gears from TCS. It went together smooth and I replaced the washer and the Ring Seals then lubed it all up except the New outer seal. I will do that right before I assemble it. I did make sure to put the converter in it and spin the pump around so I do know it is aligned correctly.

The front drum pressure plate clearance is telling me I need to shave it .075" . I am going to double check the steels and make sure I did not use the THICK ones. Also the Pressure plate is brand new so I will be checking the thickness vs the stock one. Who knows it came in a Mopar Performance bag. Maybe they increased the thickness over the years for some reason or another?? Also the front drum came with only 3 Frictions and I am using 5 of the thin ones instead at .061"

Well I screwed up....:banghead: But at least I caught it! CRACKEDBACK to the rescue again! Haaaa I put 1 too many Steels in it. Clearance is good to go no shaving required at .071" 5 Clutch pack is ready along with the Rear Clutch Pack. They are coming apart and getting soaked for 30 minutes and re assembled! :D

Lol, with a first mistake out the gate like that?....... haha, I am teaching myself! :D

thats the best way to learn man. i have watched alot of videos online on rebuilding these trans. and i always think to myself "that dont look that hard, I could do that". but i know as soon as i got it all apart and spread out it would get pretty overwhelming in a hurry.

It is really not bad at all..... EXCEPT the F$*&!! Kit I bought has the wrong size washers for both sides of the planatary gears and they only gave me 2. So I am short 4 cause they are the wrong damn size. Now I am at a stand still until I get the correct chittttttt from them. That kind of stuff gets me pissed off in a hurry. I bought a complete kit and the **** dont fit and its short..... Ughhhhhhhh , I would have had the whole damn trans put back together tonight! :banghead:

I got both front and rear servo assemblies in along with the Sprag, Reverse Drum and band, output shaft assembly with the governor/Reverse gear etc then I had to stop....... Did I tell you now much I hate it when you buy the parts and they don't fit and they are short??:banghead:
