Well the guy contacted me about the '74 Swinger and I would like to post some info about the car and see if it is a good deal. This is the information I jotted down when I was on the phone with him. He said he would take $800 for it. It will cost $89 to rent a trailer for 2 days. Sound like a good deal? Also at our house we have a running 360ci, no wiring harness, 727 trans, and a 8.25" rear just in case.

Sounds good,my only advise is for a rear.The 8 1/4 can only handle so much!My 450hp 340 snapped my 8 1/4 real fast.I now have 8 3/4 with Moser axels.

Yes but for right now I just want a car to start learning on. I'm 16 btw. I have a 1983 Camaro as my daily driver but have always been into mopar's. For now I just want something I can take to the track and back. Just get everything in working order. I think this is a good deal but no room in the garage. :/ My dad might be selling his '48 DeSoto in a week or so though.
Also I am not going to see anywhere near those horsepower numbers for a while.

That is so cute "have always been into mopars", at 16 how long could that be? Look just kidding, I get excited to hear a young gun continuing the Mopar hobby. At 800.00 I don't see how you can go wrong, plus like you said it is a good car to get your feet wet so to speak in drag racing. Work on staging, cutting a good light and as in bracket racing learning to run on your dial in will only make you a better driver as you start going faster. Go for it!

Sorry didn,t know your age. When I seen...Drag car then 8 1/4 rear,I figured I,d chim in.The Dart sounds like a good starter car for you to learn with.We had ArmDropLive (Pinks Allout)here lastmonth and a guy with a 10 second 73 Dart took home the money.Good Luck with your search!(atleast your not looking for a fart pipe car!)

Umm, don't know what to say but, not long if you consider how old some of you guys are. :-D But I have grown up liking mopars then anything else. My dad remember's when I was 3 my favorite hot wheels car was a '70 Challenger. But if you want to be technical, as long as I have been looking for a car I have wanted a mopar. But couldn't find a solid one for under 5 grand, so had to settle with a 3rd gen camaro. :(

Alright sounds good. Also that's pretty crazy. Also, trust me...no way in hell would I get one of those.
