Question for all...

I have my hinge covers painted and ready to install.

But how do I secure these to the hinges? I see the holes in the hinges and in the covers, but what kind of fastener is used to secure them? There are no through holes in the seats and they couldn't go into the seats anyway, since the seats fold down.

Any ideas?
Answers with pics would be great...I'm a little slow...I mean old...yeah, old.

Thanks,

There’s a square plastic plug that fits into that square hole at the top of the metal plate in your bottom picture. It’s a very shallow plug as theres vinyl on the other side. A screw goes through that plastic cover and ends in that plastic plug.

Thanks H. Any pics of these mysterious plastic plugs, or what they're called? Where I can source them?

Autozone help wall.
They have a selection pack of the white nylon inserts.
I used the larger ones for my headlight adjusting screws.
They look like this but in varied sizes and shapes, but watch your screw length so you don't eat into the vinyl cover of your seats.

Thanks Trail. I think I'm on track with what you and H are describing. I'll stop in at Autozone today.

One step closer! Woot!

Thanks again.
