8 /3/4 rear axle slip over housing end .

Not likely the best approach. 8.75 rears have a tendency to twist and slipping an end on a tube may not get you lined up properly.

Don't know of any manufacturers that sell that type of end.

I have a 70-74 E-body size 8 3/4 bare housing here i will sell for $50 plus shipping PM me if interested

Any one out there sell a slip over the tube style housing end and then weld for a 8 3/4 housing. Thanks. pm would be great.

BUT, you can't, or should I say shouldn't, just weld them on. Getting them on square is most crucial.

You should really have these:

And a steel rod that slips through the entire length of the housing and through those fixtures to properly align the ends.

8 3/4 are famous for having bent axle tubes. so i agree a slip on would be a real bad idea .rearends must be done with a good jig to get correct alignment.paul
