This is a comp cage with swing out bars.

I'm 6.0 and here is where my door bar cuts across.

Make sure you put a swing-out on the driverside climbing over the bar gets old real quick..

I know it's legal to use a swing out and I was originally planning on one, but it seems the car would be more ridged and safer ? ....

Of course it would be more rigid. Safer? Believe me NHRA did their HW. It must be in a area that it doesn't matter.

If it is a street car you want the swing out kit.

99.99% dragstrip - it does have license plates and break lights lol

Car is looking good. Regarding chassis certs. I have had enough done that the tech guy knows where i live and he goes to a lot of homes. Now everybodies different including tech inspectors. I have found that they look at the overall layout. How competent the welds appear. Complete welds. Gussets. Proper joints ie.fishmouths. The main thing that will be checked is the thickness of the material used for the rollbar and supports. Sonic tested I believe. They wont be splitting hairs or bringing out protractors. That being said, my brother once took a car to nhra headquarters for inspection. 3 guys and over 2 hours later he had a list....well he asked for it! LOL.
