74' Duster
Got the call, "Come pick up your trunk lid, it's done". All buffed and polished out. Going down there this morning to get it. Pics coming.
Here is the trunk lid. It is like green glass! Yea, I am thrilled!

Here is passenger fender color sanded in 2000. Weird, I kinda like doing the final sanding steps....getting it that much closer to green glass.

JD, With 3000 grit you have to try to screw something up. Keep the DA moving and wet, stay away from all edges and any sharp ridges or body lines.....and just let the 3000 polish out the 2000 scratches. I 'll end up doing some hand sanding with the 3000 also (top of the doors/fenders , around the pop out windows). I got this, not skeered.
Saturday...normally my paint day, but getting doors ready to go to buff shop. Got doors weather seals installed, doors ready, Check. Car is all ready. Couldn't help myself...the car is in 3000 grit, the Porter Cable DA is sitting right there, there's a white hex cutting pad...some Meguires 105...a blue hex finishing pad...some 205 Meguires finishing glaze. All I need is reckless abandon....Got plenty of that! Went at passenger quarter to see how I can get it polished. Green glass!
