Sounds like a good turnout again this year...lots of nice quality Mopars, take a nice group picture of the gang for me and post it up so I can see it. Thanks

I don't believe that Greg Charney is (yet) a member of this forum.

Greg is a retired Chrysler powertrain engineer who started there out of college as
a dyno operator back in the 70's and was closely linked to Mopar Performance and
the racing programs.

Greg, whose '65 Hemi Coronet was the top Super Stock eliminator at the 1971 Indy
Nationals was a compatriot of Jimmy Addison (Silver Bullet) back in the day and in
fact, one time, Tom Hoover directed Jimmy to put his Hemi in Greg's Coronet for a
particular drag meet.

Greg's '68 Dart, which he constructed entirely by himself, has been the subject of
numerous magazine features over the last year and even though it is street driven
it has been "knocking on the 9.0's" (see attached You-Tube video - Sound UP).

The Dart has an all-aluminum 410" Mopar Performance sprint car powerplant and a Liberty
5-speed transmission. The chassis sports a rare RMS short torsion bar front end and Greg's
own custom fabricated suspension out back. Greg also built his own headers entirely from
scratch.

Gregs usual traveling companion at car shows is Ted Spehar who many of you may
know was the engine builder for the Motown/Mopar Missile program. Mr Spehar also
owned the Woodward Avenue Sunoco station that housed the Silver Bullet.

Greg and Ted will be at "The Hotel" and in "The Tent" and we look forward it.

Here are a few pics of his Dart:

Have to add text

Let me add....if anyone else with an interesting Mopar...preferably an A body, but not exclusively an A body and wants to join us....I will happily order a larger tent...I just need to know soon.

As you can see....this is not an HDK...or HemiDenny...or FABO tent. It is a gathering of unique hot rods....along with their colorful builders.....oooohh the stories.

If you want to just park close by and join the fun....there is room for maybe 10 to 15 cars outside the tent....free. I will bring last years FABO banner compliments of Mike / 2 Darts to help designate that area.

We will try to have a good time.....sorry, no strippers this year.

Ted also campaigned a very successful D Dart back in 66'.

any ideas?

I thought it was bad fuel...... so I drove it to a local gas station that sells race fuel. I filled it (119.00) and drove it for 20 miles and then put my foot into it. Same results, big ol bog. It ran great last year, nothing has changed so Im stumped. I'm wondering if an injector is clogged or is just bad? I ordered a new manifold temperature sensor since that code comes up (it has since I have owned it) , it reads very hot manifold temps so the tuner just disconnected it.

So, let me try to sumarize here. HemiDenny and the boys have again made
arrangements for a (larger) tent at the Nat's and in what one can only hope
will become a tradition and grow from here will feature, largely by application
or invitation, some of the nicest and most innovative street driven modified
A-Bodies out there today. By my count, at least 70% of the builders on this
years roster have had multiple magazine features so it is a select group indeed.

Anyone with this general type of vehicle can ask to be included and those that
occupy space in the tent pay a fee to help defray site rental expenses. I would
imagine that by the time the Nat's get here that the field is set so it would be
advisable to make your arrangements with Denny early.

Additionaly, there is room for others in an area adjacent to the tent and it will
be designated with a FABO Meet & Great banner so bring your canopies and set
up a spot there. Thanks to Denny/Mark/Jim for this. They did a FABO deal here
last year and also at Carlisle. Nobody else has stepped up to carry the water on
this one so I'm sure we all appreciate them giving us a spot to meet up.

I hope I got that all correct (Denny?).

I just know that when my build is ready, I can't think of a better goal than to
claim a space in the big tent. A bunch of great guys and fantastic machines
that will make my Nat's experience the best of the year.

I am a little bummed about the no strippers thing. I just assummed that the
bigger the tent, the more poles and.......well.......never mind.

I'm wondering if an injector is clogged....
You could try one bottle of Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner....it can't hurt.

Listen to this old service manager - This is the only kind of injector cleaner that
really works and you should be able to get it at any automotive store. It's so good
that GM and Chrysler sell it with their own logos on the bottle. Don't waste your time
with STP/Clevite etc brands,
