BTW.....do you recall the ceramic coaters name that did my headers?
 
I got the axles today. I like the new design, looks much more user friendly. I sent you an email that I am headed to Columbus, OH this week coming for a small family get away. I was curious on how far from there you are?

yes....I thought I replied....I am approx 130 miles NW of Columbus, in Bowling Green.
 
finally **** canned the "custom calibration" on the two four barrel carbs.

went straight to the book and jetted ONE notch richer than the factory "out of the box" jetting / metering rods for the Eldelbrock #1406. Besides it running and sounding like a Hemi should....the motor feels like it has mucho more HP.....significant!

live and learn ....and hopefully I'm not done with either.

anybody ready for a free rev...WHHHHOPPAAAAA!

That is good news! What did you do with the springs you were talking about??


also, the rear end in the Barracuda is starting to whine....... I got the axle's out tonight and will pull the center section Monday night.......It always something.....but that's hot rodding!:coffee2:
 
I removed everything and started from scratch installing the main jets, secondary jets, metering rods and step up springs that the carb book chart showed they WOULD have had out of the box.....if not for the "suppliers" custom Hemi calibration. When it came off the dyno...it had the stiffist spring in.....that went bye-bye as I re-installed the middle (orange) springs in both carbs .

hope your rear end checks out with only needing minor repair/ adjustment.
 
Can't wait until Mark tells the cheese sammich joke again. Few weeks!

minor repair/ adjustment..... I couldnt be that lucky. :banghead: ..... I sheared off all 12 bolts.
