A-Bodies...Big Motors / New Hemi Duster - FINAL ASSEMBLY

-
I have never seen that on a street car before! I think you've lost your amateur status.

At least it didn't happen between the hotel and the Carlisle show grounds last weekend.

I agree Brother John.... I was lucky
When I had my hand in the housing to fish out the bolts it sounded like a gum ball machine!

I am in Ohio now. I went through Cleveland and to the African Safari in Port Clinton. Then I took 4 South to Columbus. On the trip, the coolest thing I have seen was an old Max Wedge car with a roll cage, sitting on the front lawn of a house. It had "White Lightning" faded on the side.
Was this an actual drag car or a back yard racer?

I don't think he was driving it fast enough. It's almost like he was driving a certain 'daisy'. Or maybe his sister :burnout:

thats funny...... Sometimes when we drive, beat our hot rods we find the weakest link. It was running shitty so Don and I changed plugs, hotter, colder and in between we beat the snot out of the car only to blow up the trans, it was fun and worth it!..... repair trans and get advice about an injector cleaner from an old retired service manager and that definitely helped only to find out that I sheared off all the ring bolts........ Our friend Jim Paranis is going to repair the center section before he goes in vacation. I was in the hot rod shop tonight and I thought about Carlisle, you knuckle heads and just started laughing.............
hot rodding is way to much fun...... yes, I'm drinking LOL

You were closer to us then than you are now. But, that is correct. If you are looking
for Denny you must pass through the African safari on the way.

Bimba Ongawa.

I think that is the name of one of Denny's old girlfriends!! or something like that!

don't get me started.....

that is what Tarzan said to Cheeta.....I think it means....Who greased the grapevine?

Possible that those bolts weren't torqued when they were installed? Wow! I've seen plenty of broken axles, but I've never seen an entire set of ring gear bolts take a powder. Insane! L8r

Just got the December (!) 2014 Mopar Muscle and they chose their top 10 cars from Carlisle.

HemiMark and HemiDenny both made the cut!

John....thanks for posting the article.

Congrats Mark

not bad for a couple of "stockers"

I remember Johnny Hunkins taking those photos. Crazy they are already in the magazine. Very different from when a feature is shot :roll eyes:
