A-Bodies...Big Motors / New Hemi Duster - FINAL ASSEMBLY

-
on my test and tune ride this afternoon....almost ***-packed a pick-up truck. I think he was watching my Duster in his rear view...not paying attention and suddenly realized the car in front of him was stopped making a left hander. needless to say he locked all four of his in a 100ft slide, with me behind ( not being able to see around him)....locking mine for a slide for your life also....stopped with about 5 ft to spare with no one close behind me.

glad I'm a professional!

Thank God for quick reflexes and ALL THOSE UPGRADES. :)

Denny,

Hope the testing/tuning is going well. Hopefully you have the car sorted out so you can enjoy driving it.

I know you guys are mostly into old skool HEMIs, but I figured some of you might be interested in this little 572 street HEMI. It only makes 1750 hp. The block is carved/machined from a solid chunk of billet aluminum. Most everything is custom fabricated and made in the good 'ol USA.

Tom Nelson (Nelson Racing Engines or NRE) has been building serious horsepower Small & Big Block Chevy based twin turbo monsters that idle like stock and are extremely durable. Now he is making the jump into other brands. Tom has done a lot for max effort 'streetable' horsepower over the years. NRE is now producing their own Turbos, and doing all machine work in house. In this video, they even show the machining process for the inconel turbine wheel.

If anyone has seen the flat olive drab green F Bomb Camaro (1500 hp small block) that is owned by Hot Rod Magazine's David Freiburger, then you know the NRE name.

Nelson Racing makes some of the SICKEST motors out there. If I only had $60,000 I didn't know what to do with.

Yesterday Denny completely disassembled and blueprinted his shifter
with special bushings and lube.

This morning, brother Weeb showed up with Hurst's latest rendition
of the classic pistol grip.

Fits perfect, feels great, looks right, lightning fast. Done.

But is the A/C DONE?

The art of suspension

With no bump steer, proper ackerman and almost 4" of travel,
watch the camber change (it doesn't):

Fully compressed - 0 degrees

Now at normal ride height - 0 degrees

.......and finally fully extended - 0 degrees

I just bought a nice set for my GTO, made from the same material as the actual carpet in the car. They are manufactured by ACC (Auto Custom Carpet). They are available with/without a logo and fit the car nicely.

I can dig out the info for the lady I bought them from. I got them at Carlisle, but she is based in N Carolina IIRC. Customer service was great, and I had them very quick (about 5-6 days).

thanks....but I prefer a rubberized mat....I'm told I tend to spill/drop things...coffee, soft drink,ketchup,tomatoes ect...you get the picture

reminds me of the time I placed the rear center section (pig) on the workbench . caught the lip of the fluid pan and i got a 90 weight bath right down the front of my starched button down shirt and freshly pressed dockers...what a mess!
