So I am planning on doing this conversion. Is there anyplace that makes a good factory looking replacement volt gauge? I'd like to be able to mount it back in the original amp gauge spot in the dash.

Nobody offers one for sale, but I believe some of the gauge restoration places can make a "sorta correct" one for you. A friend looked at having it done by Auto Instruments. They could do it, but they don't have a "Volts" mask to screen the gauge face, so it would've been the ammeter face with the needle reading volts. He passed.

RT/Engineering, no longer in business, not sure who bought them?

The old thread posted above is the only go to I know about. I was happy with mine, left the original needle on the voltmeter. Some guys superglued the old ammeter needle onto the new voltmeter to better match it. I used the face of my ammeter, and there is a pot adjustment in there, so you can set 14V right at the ammeter center scale. This of course causes the meter to run "centered" just like the ammeter with the battery charged and normalized and running

I stand corrected then, I thought someone had bought them. Have their circuit boards in my '69.

RT Specialties was sold. They made "reproduction"--and I use that term loosely--tachometers. That might be the reason you thought Real Time Engineering got sold.

Sounds like we have too many companies that start with RT. This is a page from MCG. Don't think that they were in the circuit or electrical side, I don't know. So, it must have been RT something else. Always thought RT Specialties was fasteners, but guess it's more than that. I shouldn't have said anything. I'll get out.

Wasnt in 76 or there abouts, the alt meter changed to a remote sensing one?

Would it possibly swap into 73-75 clusters?

And maybe with some work the 67-72?
