Another Mopar Off My Bucket List - Barracuda Fastback

-
Studying, studying, studying... It seems as though I'm constantly online looking for information for things. I've been worried about the availability of aftermarket aluminum blocks. I've read a lot of threads where people have said they're becoming hard to get and that some of the manufacturers have stopped producing them. Some say that there is a very long wait period to get one from Keith Black. Some have voiced major concerns about the quality of the ones from Indy. - And reports of defective workmanship combined with rude salesmen and almost no support from Indy makes me hesitant to order from them. I need to start making phone calls to find out what's true.

Same goes for the frogs. But I think you can actually just wash them off and they're pretty ok again.

We did try washing those darned things but they still didn't work as well. They must have some thin film of oil on them.

I think they smear them with snot in the Chinese factory and that wears off. They're still sticky but that's because the rubber dissolves a little from the snot. Once you wash the snot away they start solidifying slowly and after a while they're no stickier than a rubber boot.

I guess that if anyone ever had a thought about putting one of those things in their mouth, it's gone now.

OK, I don't really know whatever it was that I just typed but I figured some of you out there might actually think I spoke Chinese.

The only Mandarin I know is Mandarin oranges.

Although I survived the first go round at the dentist office I'm as miserable as ever. I haven't been able to chew anything solid since coming back home. Losing half of my teeth isn't the problem. It's the EXTREME tenderness in those extraction points and my gums.

I haven't managed to accomplish much of anything since the teeth were pulled. Constantly hungry. Generally sore. Completely miserable.

I had planned on being out of commission for a few days but not this long.

Well....

青鼻涕 = snot

鼻水 = nasal discharge

惹人嫌的人 = Re Renxian people ????

很抱歉听到你的牙齿问题。
(So sorry to hear about your dental issues.)

如果我有$1,000,000个块钱,我把钱花在汽车零部件。

SEE?! It's not fair. I wrote "I hate to READ about your dental issues" and you wrote "HEAR about". You get a Thanks and I get a sarcasm. :protest:

Now Anders I just don't know if I can take your empathy seriously. All my life I've heard that Sweden has taken a neutral stance so I wonder just how concerned you really are over my plight...

- Then again, all those Swedish stewardesses I've seen in movies DID seem pretty passionate.

condolences !

Thanks bob. I think I'm most concerned about what it will be like when they pull the rest of these teeth. If things become twice as bad as they are now it'll really be a bite in the @ss. You can already start imagining how much whining I'll be doing then.

Sooo ... Time to sink your teeth into the project again? No?

Boy, I must say Anders that I'm still having a hard time getting motivated. I can usually deal with pain elsewhere pretty well but this head/tooth stuff really drags me down. There's a ton of stuff I need to get to but I'm still feeling like crap.

I got the control box back from MSD today. According to their note it failed their testing and they had to replace one diode and one resistor. With shipping back to me they charged $43.05. I'm glad to have it back but not sure when I'll get around to re-installing it.

I've been trying to get some garage cleaning done. I'd taken one Vicodin after I got back from the dentist but avoided any pain killers since. Maybe I should rethink my pain management. Perhaps I'll feel more up to working if I felt better.

Take your time and heal, watch some of your favorite movies.
The cars are how old? They will wait on you.

Also stay away from salsa and chips.
But vanilla ice cream and root beer in a glass does wonders for making you feel better, have a glass every hour and you motivation will go up.

I've definitely been avoiding anything that requires much chewing. The other day I saw that one of the convenience stores was selling some of the 'Larry the Cable Guy' bacon cheeseburger flavored potato chips. I love those things and they're not easy to find around here. I bought some for Teresa but there's no way I'm going to try any until my mouth recuperates.

It's hard to enjoy most foods that require any chewing. Chewing hurts. I end up cutting most things into bite sized chunks and swallowing them without having much of a chance to taste them. If I really want to to taste something that leaves me with mostly a liquid diet or foods that will melt in my mouth. I miss the flavor of meat.

If it was a matter of survival I'd still be able to eat most stuff. - But right now it's more a matter of avoiding pain and being unable to enjoy the food I am eating. So far I'm doing a lousy job of avoiding the pain, but I'm trying to keep it manageable.

- Keeping my fingers crossed and telling myself this is all temporary. I pity anyone that would have to put up with this forever.

Don't cheap out buy the good A&W stuff with caffeine.

When I was young my 'ol man used to buy 'DAD'S ROOTBEER' in gallon jugs. It was pretty good stuff but I don't even know if they make it anymore.

Nowadays I'm more of a chocoholic. A chocolate milk shake sounds pretty tasty.
