Lol it has a
12/12 pitch 45 degrees.
2 stories with a full attic on top of that.
Still has the original slate roof, built in 1908.
Yes it's tall.

I'd have to keep some Kleenex with me for when I go up the stairs (for the nose bleeds). Some of these old houses have tons of character. The baseboards are 10" tall in the house I'm working on. - Pocket doors, leaded glass windows, oak floors, etc...

I know that some restorers cringe at the idea of removing the old lathe & plaster but I still prefer the look of walls that are really flat. Trying to repair cracks in the originals isn't much fun anyway.

I ordered 13 new windows yesterday for the downstairs. I'll still need to order another 7 to complete the second floor.

It rained here all day today and is forecast to be rainy for all of this next week. I guess the painting is on hold for awhile.

If you get a chance, post a picture of your house. I'd love to see that behemoth!

DING! DANG! DAGNABIT! AARGH!!! I was mowing the back lot and decided to load the Duster on the trailer while I was moving it. The oil pan caught the edge of the trailer as I was driving on. I put a nasty gash in it. #-o - Looks like I'll be dropping the pan to do the repair.

Another full day of rain forecast for tomorrow. Maybe I can tow the Duster back into the garage with the riding mower. I thought about driving it in because I'd only be running it for a minute but I don't want to chance scoring a bearing.

I'd tow it in.
depending on how deep the pan got dinged, you could have interferance issues with the crank hitting the dented in pan.

The damage to the pan isn't that extensive. There's a gash on the extended sump section. I didn't manage to get it inside the shop today. The rain kept me from wanting to venture out. It should be an easy fix but the hole is over an inch long on the front face of it. I suppose I could put some Gorilla tape over it and fill it back up. That would allow it to be driven back into the garage.

Before I get too upset I better take me a long soak in the hot tub.

I've made a lot of friends on FABO over the years. Sometimes I tell myself that I should send some of them a note now & then to let them know I'm thinking of them. I started to write one to SNKEBIT but wasn't sure he'd appreciate it...

LMAO, serious gene pool issues there...

Some people consider those two examples as the same thing. :D

btw, I are a redneck. My truck has stacks.

I guess you could say my wife is a red neck as well if being stacked is the criteria.
Or was that cafeteria?:downtown::headbang:

John, I look forward to opening this thread. I usually bust a gut. Now get back to work Damit!
