Another Seldom-Seen A-body

How cool is this!
I think they would have sold a lot of them in north america.
It makes me wonder why they didn't.

Both wagons are friggin sweet. Thanks for sharing.

That 67/68 Valiants were given the model designation ' VE ". they were available with auto or manual in the 6's ( 225 only).....there was the Red 225 ( 145hp ) or the Blue 225 ( 160hp ), and the 273 V8. The 160 hp had a 2 bbl carb as did the 273.
There were no other engines fitted.
These were avaible as a 4dr sedan, 4dr wagon, and a ute.....no 2drs.
As for the tailights....No.....similar, but not the same.

'68 Valiant station wagon. South African model with US '68 Valiant front clip and Australian '67-'68 VE Valiant body with rear sidemarker lights added to match US front ones. Slant-6 engine, right-hand drive. The "AUTOMATIC" badge looks as if it's off a Mercedes or something, but I am told by a reliable South African Valiant enthusiast that it's original:

A couple years later, Chrysler RSA put the US '70 Dart front clip on the same Australian body, minus the rear sidemarkers:

That right there is just down right gorgeous !!! :supz::supz:
