Antenna yes or no poll

No antenna. Welded it up when I did the demon front end conversion. No need to have it hanging off the fender to catch my car cover or otherwise get in the way. I have a small antenna connected under the dash for the radio, but I pretty much always just Bluetooth it to my phone and it’s mp3’s or music streaming anyway. Oh, right, modern stereo too.

Also changed the marker lights out for 68’s and rolled the bejesus out of the fender lips, so future owners better know how to weld if they’re worried about originality. Gonna have to be pretty desperate if they’re bothering to convert a low optioned /6 ‘74 back to original though.
 
I am going for the smoother look. No badges, no decals except for the BEE stripe. Delete the antenna and the fender mounted turn signals.

Better watch out. Without the PLYMOUTH and BARRACUDA emblems, people will think it is a Camaro at car shows. I have people ask me that with the emblems. Seriously though, When I painted my car 8 years ago, I really considered smoothing out all the holes and painting it black. I really like it in F8 green, but smooth and black would be outstanding. What color are you going to paint it?

My F8 E-Body has all the factory emblems and it will for as long as I own it.
The 69 Barracuda 6.1 G3 Hemi, Resto-Mod... We are building is for my son. He picked the color.

We were at a car show and he fell in love with the color. I think he made an excellent choice.
Picture a 69 Barracuda Fastback with this color scheme. 2015 Viper Gun Metal Pearl.

Not an easy color to photograph.
The pearl is small and subtle but will really pop in the sunlight. In some lighting, it looks black.

The Year One Rallye Wheels look outstanding in Matte Black.
They will look even better on the car next to the Gun Metal Pearl paint.

Get rid of the radio antenna and weld up the hole. However, add a long, CB whip antenna on the rear quarter panel for that Day 2 period correct look. :rolleyes:
 
No antenna for me. Looks cleaner in my opinion. Also deleted my side marker lights for the same reason. If I was going for pure original look I would leave it though.
 
I really respect every ones opinion. I've talked to my friends and I think I may be the only one that wants the antenna put back on my Dart. Way back when before I bought it someone put one on the rear quarter, I took that out as fast as I could but never put the right one in the right place but will when it gets finished and painted....Finally lol
 
Antenna yes I have one and the answer to the car cover is you just screw the antenna off and lay it on your wiper blades and then you take the cover off you screw it back in

I found an antenna extension somewhere online and ran it down the side back into the trunk, made an "L" bracket and mounted the antenna sideways off of the rear seat bracing. If you do this put a piece of rubber hose on the loose end as it will bounce around and make a bunch of noise.
