Mike do you have a new list of mopar show.
Our Mopar Magic Show (All Around Mopars) near Gig Harbor will be on 7/27
Mopar Nats at Woodburn 8/3
Rod Run at Ocean Park is 9/6-7
All I have for now - missing is whether Sunbust will happen and when, and the Summer Sizzler on Whidbey, and the Show in Langley BC Mopar Madness

Snohomish WA now but plans for Eastern WA in the not too distant future.
Just waiting till the kid graduates this summer, then we will be heading East.
There's a 40'x60' (Minimum) shop and some property in our future.

What part of eastern Washington?

Hey Mike, Gary and I are still planning on coming over for a visit?
You guys are always welcome - I'll send a PM with my cell#

Adding to the list above:

Sunbust in Graham August 17th, 2025

Mopar Madness in Langley BC 7/13/2025 - this is a great show and there are always lots of cars that you never see down here, nice swap meet but remember to change some US dollars over to CA money to get the best deals

What part of eastern Washington?
Somewhere on the northeast side of Moses Lake, maybe as far north as Lake Roosevelt.
Not too close to town... but not too far either... ;-) Will look for a rambler on some property with a view and a shop... Or at least have room for a shop. I think a couple acres will do.

I'll say a couple things here... First off I'm a big fan of Oregon cam grinding (in Vancouver Washington) there's an old man named Ken that owns the place and you can ask for specifically. No waiting in line no waiting for some techline kid to call you back and no hype..
With that said you may want to put your questions out on the Race part of the Forum and start a thread there... keep in mind you're going to get a wide variety of opinions... What I usually do is collect all these opinions and draw my own conclusion... always remembering this is the internet and there are people who are able to write and say things that self-perpetuate themselves into being the correct answer when it's just ego...
I believe a lot of advancing or over advancing your cam will be experimental to your specs... I believe there'll be a baseline to work by in the cam grinders should give you that. Also remember Hughes engines does not grind cams...
keep in mind you're talking to somebody who has been told they have the slowest Stroker motor on the entire forum...lol..
I know this is an old post, but Ken at Oregon cam, is still at it, and I’ve had great experience from him. Including November of this year2024. He asked me a few questions on what I was building, its use, gearing ext. he ground me a cam for my build. Am very happy with it. I would highly recommend them!!

I was reading your posts and I have a couple of questions. One is why the the flat tappet cam? I roller cam will make more manifold vacuum for street use and more power. The other question I have yet to see any motor with over 11 to 1 scr that doesn't ping on the street. It will run on premium, but it will beat itself to death under load. As far as cam advancement anything more than 4 degrees will start to cause other issues. I have been building stroker Mopar engines for over 20 years and have seen a lot of issues that were caused and what had to be done to correct them. Now if you are going to just race it the combination looks decent, but you are leaving some on the table with a flat tappet cam.
As far as Woodburn I have been attending for over 25 years every year. I do not do car shows, but I do race my 68 Dart every chance I get with a 340, with mufflers, DOT rear tire at 10:30's 128 mph and it is still street legal. But with 13.5 scr and 114 fuel I do not drive around on the street much.
Hi Ken, have you done anything with the 273 920 heads on a 318? I’m playing with that a bit. Not looking for race engine , but a fun street car. Porting heads and intake, a little taller flat top pistons for quench, Oregon cam custom ground (mild) cam. Performance intake 650 avs II carb. I’m also using manifolds.. hate headers. Was just wondering your experiences with any of this? Thanks Mark.
