The camshaft in the 380 version provides little vacuum, may or may not be enough for power brake booster.
IIRC it's advertised numbers were 292 degrees and 501 lift
 
You were given part numbers and a way to check it yourself.
No one to blame but yourself.
 
You used a pushrod checker and …..?????
 
Do they still make them I remember the magnum 300 and magnum 380 If i recall the 300 HP versiaon was about 5 grand. I had assumed theyd be round forever LOL!
