stacks of empties??
To be precise, (in my old memory) it was "The Champagne of Bottled Beer".The Champagne of Beer. Love how the new jingle has conveniently left out the line, "beer after beer!"
Originally it was a point of purchase sales device for grocers and liquour stores. He would be holding a twelve pack of Hamm's bottles, surrounded by dozens of them for sale. I've tried two different items from my collection so far. Not sure which I like better.Didn't he have a tray with a couple beers on it?

The wife is already telling me to get that thing out my living room. LOL
While the Dart sits in the garage waiting on spring, the beer sign bug has bit. I bought these two today. Drove in freezing rain for an hour to pick them up at a good price.

Hamm's was bought by the Olympia Brewing Company in the mid-seventies during my dad's tenure there. They also aquired Lone Star, and thusly Buckhorn. I have a picture somewhere of Grandma Ruth with a Buckhorn in her hand.
I thought he held s case of beer, back when a case was a cardboard box. I always wanted one to put a 13" TV in his hands. I would love to buy beer memorbillia, but it is out of my price league.Originally it was a point of purchase sales device for grocers and liquour stores. You got the table for free? Pay it forward and give the light to someone you know who needs one for their pool table. Just a thought. So my wife and I have been moving things around in our house. The gym and treadmill went into the office that was never used and out of our media (bonus) room over the garage, which left a big open space. I casually mentioned to a good friend of mine that it would be perfect for a pool table. He said that he had a neighbor who was getting rid of one.
To shorten the story, we ended up with a 4 X 8 1" slate pool table for free. My freind and I moved it in (I had no idea how heavy they are.....) and set it up. It came with two sets of balls, all the cues and this cool Budweiser pool light (the point of the story).
Anyhow, the bud light (well, not bud light but a bud pool light) is cool, but just a little too tacky for our decor. I think that I am going to sell it. It really is in nice shape. Anyone have an idea of its vintage or value? I see them on ebay for 300 USD. I was thinking of asking 200 or 250 CDN.
Thoughts ??

And a good thought! My initial reaction was that I can make a buck for the car fund..... I will ask around and see if anyone that I know needs one.You got the table for free? Pay it forward and give the light to someone you know who needs one for their pool table. Just a thought.
Nothing wrong with making a buck, either! And a good thought! My initial reaction was that I can make a buck for the car fund..... I will ask around and see if anyone that I know needs one.
Dang, that's a cool piece!Just stopped by a friend's shop,he just bought a large collection that included three 4 globe Hamm's noens. Selling the worst of the three for $1750. He will make more selling the collection, than I'll make working this year. Insane what old items bring.

I saw him sell an original, still in the crate one of these 5 years ago. These things aren't coming down in price.
