A racing friend mentioned that since I footbrake maybe I should try it. My opinion is it would be hard to let off the brake exactly the same every time.
I was going to contact the manufacturer and see what happens if the 2 step is activated while you are above the limit. Also, bad news from a favorite track that has a footbrake class. They don't allow two steps.1 thing to consider is, anytime you hit the brake pedal the switch will be actived
You could just mount (dash, switch panel, wherever) an inline rocker switch (between the pedal switch and 2 step) that you can turn off when not wanted. It would just break or make the circuit...you'd of course be kicking yourself every so often when you forgot to close the switch before getting to the line. I see that 2 steps aren't allowed in your one class, but maybe you compete in others?1 thing to consider is, anytime you hit the brake pedal the switch will be actived
I would appreciate it if you would point me in the right direction for one of these switches. Many of us in Stock run a pressure switch in Brake line rather than the
switch on the brake that we used to run years ago.

Also what's to keep the 2 step from coming back on down the track when you apply the brakes?
Interesting. Sounds like something for a street/strip car that still has a horn ring.I instructed a member here how to wire a 2 step into his horn with a toggle switch.
Toggle one way was the horn, and the other way was the 2 step using the horn on the steering wheel.
Does this look like something you would use?The activation pressures is higher than I would ever press the brake
petals to slow the car down. Lots of pressures switches that would work
on E bay.
At least it's not my home track. It's one I go to about 3 times a year. You could always wire two switches - one at the brake and one WOT microswitch at the carb. Both would have to be depressed for the 2-step to activate. I was mulling that over for my build. I'll be curious what you end up going with. Please keep us posted.
Edit - just saw your track doesn't allow 2-steps. That's shitty.
Biondo has nothing. Will keep looking...Possible if it has a high side activation and a low side both side adjustable
settings. Try Biondo web site to see them.
If you have a brake pressure gauge you can stage it at the same brake pressure each time.A racing friend mentioned that since I footbrake maybe I should try it. My opinion is it would be hard to let off the brake exactly the same every time.
I've heard of people doing that. The issue isn't brake pressure but engine rpm.If you have a brake pressure gauge you can stage it at the same brake pressure each time.
If you use the two step off off your brake light switch. The rpm will be the same and the brake pedal travel will be the same if you stage it tI've heard of people doing that. The issue isn't brake pressure but engine rpm.
All of their stuff is for warning and shutoff switches, so the sensor breaks contact when the pressure goes high.Check out a company called Zoro and search pressure switches
