These dimples on the tan inner fender are on a 1975 Dart. I had a couple 74 Valiants and I think they had the dimples also-not sure. The cable bracket, I'm not sure if slant 6 or 318.. These are rare! I found all three of mine many years ago.

At this point considering the cars that used that type of servo from 1970-1980, I am now up to 10 different mounting brackets.

#9 was just found yesterday.

So overall, this has been a VERY educational N88 weekend!

Great photo series & yes, your piggy-back throttle cable bracket is for a /6 application.
 
I little more info on the A Body N88 cruise control. I knew that 1975 was the first year, assuming that 1976 it was also available. I was just over at a buddies house, he has all years of the parts manuals. 1976 does not show any A Body specific cc parts. But the new F Body-Aspen and Volare' do. I guess since the F Body replaced the A Body, they just gave up on the A Body. So in other words, 1975 was the only year that Speed Control was offered in an A Body

I scored some more N88 stuff on Monday. :)

I have also heard of even more servo mounting brackets that I do not have yet......

I looked through the 1976 options lists for A-bodies I have & I do not see N88 at all, very interesting!
 
I am still learning more & more.......

I have 11 different servo mounting brackets here so far & I have also learned that there were at least 16 different types in use in various cars / trucks / vans in the years from 1968-1980.
 
Another update.

I have 12 different servo mounting brackets here now, I just made a deal on three more so I'll be up to 15 when they arrive.

There are at least 17 possible types from 1968-1980 now also, so I have to wonder how many are out there that I have just not seen - yet..........
 
I just got my cruise control retro fit working, but used some unknown bracket and had to remove the washer bottle entirely. I had the additional complication of doing this on a manual car requiring an additional switch for the clutch pedal. Don't really have much to add since you are looking for OEM info and I had to make things work.

But, I do have a picture I saved from many moons ago of a cruise control mounted in an A-Body on a car that was being parted on here. Couldn't tell you who or when, I just saved it because it looked like it might have been useful while I was working on my setup. Looks like the documentation you posted, but it also is shown with the brace removed (could have been because he sold them, or could be that it wouldn't fit with the module). Either way, these are the pictures I have (not my car):

Lemondana - What are the photos you posted from? An A body? What year? Is the one photo of the carb bracket from a slant six car? Is this setup for sale?
 
Read the whole post. I had a friend that has all of the parts books. I researched them all and the only year for A Body cruise control was 1975. As of right now none of mine are for sale. The carb bracket I have a picture of, I wasn't sure if Slant 6 or V8. Two of my setups came out of cars that didn't have engines in them and I really didn't pay attention. The pictures of the inner fender is a friends of mine 75 Dart. It's possible that 74 and 76 inner fenders had the dimples for the servo bracket. Keep track of this post for possible later sale of a setup.
 
Lemondana - the bracket pictured is correct for an A body cruise setup. Unfortunately, you would need the entire setup to make it work. This means you'll need the turn signal stalk, all the wiring including the brake switch, the servo/cable/servo bracket, and most importantly the carb linkage which is a bunch of little parts that are specific to a slant six carb. The left inner fender on a 1974 A body IS NOT dimpled to accept the three holes needed for the servo mounting bracket, by the way. But yeah, it will work on a 74 A body if correctly installed.
 
Don't you worry! I've taken quite a few complete cruise control systems out, I get every nut, bolt, wire, stop light switch, turn signal stalk, cables. I have several NOS stop light switches. I bought a big box of NOS cruise control stuff from a dealer that had closed down and had an auction. I have 3 complete A Body setups.

Lemondana - thanks for the reply. Several questions for you. First, could you put a complete setup together for me - everything I'd need to install it into my 74 six cylinder auto Duster. Please use your best parts with the least wear on them. Especially critical is the complete carb linkage. I've attached a photo of all the parts necessary to make this linkage complete. Next, could you post photos (or email me photos) of the complete package. Finally, how much $$$

I installed a Dakota Digital (Audiovox) Cruise Control system in my Dart.

The main unit is hidden under the dash and there's only one thin cable which I routed through a cut firewall insulation plug to the carb. I wired it up a to a factory 1970 B body turn turn signal/cruise control lever.

Clean install and it's barely noticeable in the engine compartment.

It works awesome.
 
Lemondana - forgot to add to my request for a full system. Do you have both of the correctly sized speedometer cables as well? Thanks - cruiser
 
As of right now, none of my cc stuff is for sale. Keep this thread handy and in the future, possibly.
 
I bought a couple out of 80s mopars at pick n pull. One was a truck and one was a Chrysler. Got the servo, brake switch, wiring carb linkage, speedo cables, brackets and blinker handle.

They had the late model blinker handles that were not a direct fit, so I used a 70s vintage blinker lever with cruise.

Took awhile to figure it all out, but works nicely now. Think I paid $15 for the cruise controls.

I am still hoping to find the 1975 A-body bracket myself.

The kit I bought was labeled as Audiovox but manufactured by Rostra.

I installed the unit under my dash on the passenger side and routed the control cable through a hollowed out firewall insulation retainer.

I used a factory Chrysler cruise control switch out of a ‘70 B body to maintain a stock look.
