[WANTED] Ball pivot clutch fork

Swapping an A833 OD into a '65 Dodge Dart.

The OD bellhousing uses a ball pivot clutch fork rather than the tab mounted one, so I need a ball-pivot clutch fork.

If you have one, please let me know the length (should be around 12.5"), and the gap for the throwout bearing.

IIRC the ball pivot bellhousing always had the long fork but early A-bodies always used the short fork.
I used a small block ball pivot bellhousing in a 66 Valiant and the fork travel was right in line with the torsion bar and barely cleared the torsion bar but it did work.

That combination worked on a 65 slant six?

So is there a short ball pivot clutch fork? This is new to me so Im not sure which fork I'll need. The A833 OD has its own special bellhousing because of the larger bearing retainer. Should I be looking for an early A body small block clutch fork?

I don’t think there is. I used the long fork with a homemade z bar. It worked and I daily drove it for years but it would have be easier using a short fork. It probably possible to put the short fork and matching blade pivot in that bellhousing

Pivot for short fork in overdrive bellhousing

You would have to drill the holes in the correct location. Probably better in the long run to do this and use a short fork versus having to make a bellcrank to work with the long fork.
