Many nice cars to choose from, but my personal favorite is the 68 Fastback Barracuda.
Go figure.

I had a 71 340 Duster, curious yellow with black vinyl roof, buckets, auto w/ console and A/C. I gave it up because of the damn oil crisis and bought an 80 Honda Civic to commute 80 miles a day to work. I loved seeing all the tankers parked in New York Harbor.

I have a 67 barracuda and it came with a 273/904/7.25. The title says it weighs 27xx pounds. I would like to get it on a scale to see how true that is though.
But I've always thought of cudas light and little.
similarly equipped, the 7/8/9 Barracudas are the heaviest of the 108s, and rival E-bodies. But the good news is the rears are the heavy part, and it don't take a lot of effort to get a 50/50 car.
By contrast, my 70 Swinger 340 was an easy 300 pounds lighter than my identically equipped 68 Barracuda. Well not quite true; the dual full length 3" pipes with Dynomax 3-pass muffs are 72 pounds, versus IDK about the Swinger junk.
My Swinger was 3330 trackside, me in it at 130 (1971), so car was 3200
My Barracuda was 3667, me in it.
with aluminum heads, intake, and 4-speed case/extension, and with the 23pound GVod box. Otherwise, they were similarly equipped. I took 200 pounds off the Barracuda and she scaled 3467 trackside, me in it, at 205,(2004) so car was 3262....... after the 200 was taken out, plus the engine and trans lightened up.
That big rear window, and support works is more than just a pretty face. And the fold-down rear seat is also a tank at 64 pounds. But I knew that going in, and so I installed a 360. That's 20 cubes for 200 pounds, so fair trade to have the big wheel wells, and more weight over the rear.

The one that got away

67 Barracuda fastback in GG1 and rust with shitty peeling paint and crusty Cragars, of course.

For A-bodies I like them all. But 71 Duster or Demon are the best for me. The bright colors and all the right performance graphics and options. 71 mopar cars are the coolest looking of all the years. My car place at many spectator picked shows because it stood out like a pumpkin in a pepper patch. All 71 mopars had the coolest graphics and the last year for performance. Then what happened was really sad.

The best lookin' A body? A finished one. Love 'em all. If you twist my arm and hold my beer hostage, I'd have to go with a '68 Dart. But dayum, those Aussie VE/VF Safari wagons and Wayfarer utes are sweet, too!

70-72 Dusters, 71-72 Demons are my favorites. Of course, i love them all including notch back barracuda's, Hrdtp Darts, etc....

I like all Mopar A bodies. but my favorite A body is the 69 GTO Judge. :)

I picked the Duster but love the darts & barracudas 67-69 valiant as well but this you Can’t take the sex appeal away from this.

Mine is a 66 Valiant which is a forever car. They will bury me in it as I will never sell it.

I could happily live with just about any A body, I like them all. However, I voted Dart, as a 69 Dart is the slickest car on the planet, IMHO. I am on the hunt for one...

Good points on the big glass and heavy back seat. I'll have to wait a few months to weight mine due to salt on the roads, but now I'm really curious.
Wow though, you have had the same car since 1971? Thats impressive.
130 to 205lbs.....I should leave that alone, lol..
I graduated high school in 79 weighting 114lbs at almost 5'9...I went in the military but had to get a weight waiver.
Fast forward to now, 141 lbs and shrunk to 5'8, lol. I still have a hard time putting on weight. Hated it all my life, but now not complaining about not being able to put on weight.
