Hey Guys

Been awhile since I posted but its about that time.

Got my oldest son ready to work on the barracuda.

Have a 68 barracuda with a fresh 440/727 and 8 3/4 with 4:10 rear. should make a nice 500+ HP when she is done.

She is in the paint shop getting ready for a fresh coat of pearl white. In dire need of some new floor pans and maybe and LH side rear quarter.

Looking for the best vendor but been out of the net for awhile and looking for some suggestions.

Thanks for the help guys.

Chad

Wow, a reunion ! Hey guys !

Chad, Get it from who ever is closest. Its all the same metal.

I agree with Adam, it's all stamped in the same place these days. I put in a huge order for a '68 Coronet R/T that is in the shop and the parts were drop shipped from about 4 different places. Seems that lately no one stocks a warehouse (i suppose the price of steel is doing it).

hey dad

check around on some websites for the metal you need sombody has got to have something for a decent price nowadays. im also searching for us man that car is going to be HOTT!!!!!!!

Hey Craig and Adam and all the new guys.

Thanks for the input!!

Good to be home. Saudi sucked!!

There are still a bunch of familiar faces around here feels good to be back

Trying to figure who is the closest now.My son is in sticker shock of how much this is going to cost him but atleast we have one more die hard MOPAR guy.

The Cuda should be pretty tough if we can get her put back together.

Looking at autobodyspecialist orderd from these guys back a few years ago for the duster with no issues. Anyone got a better source closer to Alabama??

Hey Craig got a project car for you just waiting when your ready to come on down. I know you need one since yours are most likely back on the island!!

68 Dart right off the track ,4 link with 8 3/4 , 440 with a dropped valve other than that she wont take much. She even still has the dominator sitting on top of her. Even got a 440 we can freshen up and throw in her. Or we can steal Tims as its most likely to much motor for him anyway. Thats the 440 me and Joe built in El Paso its should be pretty hot. We can throw her on the track and wax a few Bowties.

That 440 is a steal crank, LY rods with 6 pack pistons from TRW never run, 0Decked block, 452 heads cut down to 75 cc with big valves ported and ported again, set of crane Iron Duc rockers on top. the cam is not to hot 250@50 525 lift, Ported performer intake with Bigs 950 holley I got from Bret. All of the other goodies as well HV oil pump....Shes been sitting around for a couple of years ready to run.

The old dart has an AFCO rad, 727 with 3500 stall. Little much for the cam but she will have to do since Im broke most of the time. Supposed to have 4:56 gears but I think I have some 4:30s that would be better.

Game??

The 440 out of the cuda just need a freshening up. That will be more than enough for time.

Holler at yall later!!

http://www.autometaldirect.com/ is in Georgia, a little pricy but they're quarters are OE style and from what I hear they're parts are top notch, not made by the same as everyone else...Autobodyspecialties are good folks but they're parts are the same as Shermans, YearOne etc, all made by Goodmark...AMD is doing them themselves, talked to them on the phone at length.

Thanks Ryan

I will deff check them out. The diff is shipping may mak up the differance in cost.

I will have to give them a call seems they only have duster metal for Abodies.

You're right about the Duster still being on the island. I might just have to come down and work on your projects. Don Grotheer is just about done with his 68 SS Cuda, I can give him a call and see if has a line on some qtrs and pans. Arlen Vanke might also know where some nice ones are, he's always working on projects. I'll give them a call and see what they got.
