Big Issue on harnesses from Classic Industries

Call MH directly. If Year None doesn't sell/list it. MH can sell to you directly. Call them.
I think I am ok; just a little work to do. I have what I think are correct connectors coming and will have to move the wires. Hopefully that goes smoothly. And I did the whole marking wires deal though I must have missed a few. Luckily, there are not too many places to go in 1965. Lol

I looked at M & H catalog on their website. They don’t show much for 1965 and it says they don’t make dash harnesses. ???

as far as evens goes, stay away from that stuff.. had one and it bad crimps all over the damn thing. at the time there were many complaints about the same thing all over the mopar boards.

I've seen this post from you for over a decade.
I can't explain the issues you had but here's a link to nothing but praise for Evans, perhaps the person making your piece was sick/ill that week.
I have used several Evans pieces, and found them to be excellent, they responded quickly and supplied quality, with nec alteration done, no charge.

There are others links, perhaps google it before continuing .

Cheers

The M&H harnesses that I have used have been perfect.

One common issue is that Mopar used additional harnesses for every accessory. You don’t really find this out until you order them and find out stuff is missing for the particular options your car has. Trunk lights, interior lights, ac, transmission harnesses and a bunch of other stuff all may fall into this category.

All these accessory harnesses cost a disproportionate amount of money compared to the main harnesses. I have fabricated or reused some because I didn’t want to pay $50 for a harness with 2 wires in it.

My 69 barracuda is a Frankenstein with parts from different years & cars, so that also adds to the wiring issues. Could thus be the case in your car?

What I have found is that the deviation from the standard package harness occurs with convertible and with cars that have been modified over the years. Otherwise, it's pretty straightforward. Back to the basics of wiring diagrams as a start point.

There was a lot of modification for the engine harness with fan relays and addition of electronic ignition. The dash was simply adding the parking brake indicator (period correct) tach and under dash gauge cluster addition. I also added a fusible link... That was simple plug and play

i couldn't care less who praises them.. i can only tell you my personal experience. thankfully i only put their engine harness in the car at the time.. car would just shut off on me. only difference in the entire car was that engine harness. i traced it back to a bad crimp in that engine harness. after finding that bad crimp i started checking the other crimps.. there were multiple bad crimps throughout that brand new harness...i will never use anything evans again and i will warn anyone thinking about using evans. and like i said at the time there were multiple posts on the different mopar boards with guys complaining about the same issue.. bottom line is if you can get a M&H harness for your car, do it. its far superior to the evans unit.

i actually found one of the threads from back then. Who Supplies the Best Engine Wire Harnesses?

Most manufacturers don't go Early A. Nothing but good things to say about the M&H... The price is steep, but you get what you pay for. I didn't want to invest the time and effort into a Painless harness, but I know folks that were very happy with those
