Biohazard

-
One thing I have NOT enjoyed about our present home is the dust. Something I hope there will be less of at the new place. Here is how the underhood looks on a car that was primarily kept in a garage, with the hood closed, and NEVER (obviously) driven anywhere.

Spent a little time sprucing up some of my still-unwrapped engine harness.

Today, that hybrid header panel went to the scrap yard. Basically, a good rust-free 68 panel that just needed to have the "nose" ground off but....9 months and no takers. Along with the old rear drums and some random steel bits and pieces I got $6.25.

On the upside, we should be closing on the new house before week's end so I am planning to have the flatbed take Biohazard down to the exhaust shop on Friday. Keeping fingers crossed!

Is your hood a 69 barracuda hood or is it from a 73-76 dart? I know people say they are identical, but there are differences in the sub frame and I know that when a friend tried to fit one to his 69 notchback the gaps and fit were all wrong compared to the original barracuda hood.

In all honesty, I'd be guessing. All I can say is that it is the hood that was on the car when I got it...not that that helps any. Got any identifying tips?

Yes. The 73-76 dart hoods have crumple points in the underhood structure that are not there on the 69 barracuda hoods. Look for a series of gentle creases (like three in a row or so) in the structure on the underside of the hood.

Makes sense. Safety innovations and all that. I'll check it in the AM.

Super excited. We close tomorrow.
Garage is super huge. Standard 16' door on the 2-car side and a 10' on the single.
In a pinch, like if there was a hailstorm coming, I believe I could stuff 4 vehicles in it.

View ain't bad, neither.

Holy crap! Working in a 12x24 concrete garage,I feel like I'm buried alive. That garage is AWESOME!!!

Sweet,
Since you are closing, does this mean no more moving around?

That, sir, is the idea. The last place was a year long rent to give us time to learn the area. We never intended to stay there.

One more...just for shizzies. At our present house, the Taco just barely fits in the 2-car and will NOT fit in the single bay where the fish had been kept. See how the Taco fits in the new stable!

Arrangements made for Monday to have the car taken down to the exhaust shop.
Meanwhile - I have 10 gallons of Sherwin Williams needing my attention. :(

it's rolling around under one of the seats.

Going for exhaust tomorrow.
