BluePrint Engines HEMI compatible, Gen III Fabricated Intake is the premium swap intake manifold to top off your 2009+ Gen III engine. After fighting the other available intake manifolds on the market, we decided there had to be a better way, so we made our own. This intake is milled flat, features an actual PCV port, has the oil neck in the correct spot, uses factory height injectors, and does NOT require injector spacers! If you fought it in the past on similar intake manifolds, we fixed it on our version! We even threw in throttle body bolts! These durable, sheet metal constructed EFI Intakes are where budget friendly and performance meet to make your gen III scream!

There are plenty of youtube comparisons out there. I dont habe an A/B myself since the plastic was never an option for us. In general, they would be similar to the holley intakes of the same design. In general these tend to trade about 20-ft lbs on the bottom end for 20 hp on the top end. The trade off for that is obviously cost, appearance, and simplicity.

I would be lying if I said it made the same torque down low as a plastic 6.4 intake with the variable runner. But it will beat it on the top end, is less expensive, looks better, you don't have to fuss with the variable runners tuning and function.

And of course with a 426 cid engine, a few ft lbs isn't much to worry about. Now if you threw it on a stock 5.7 truck engine, with a stock cam...its as overkill for something like that as you'd expect, but even an eagle with a nice cam would do fine. We run a similar intake on a 376 LS, that's a 530 horse engine with a plastic intake. This does exactly what I mentioned above on that engine at stock CID.

Now the throttle body, that's a great fit for any of them. Especially at the price point. Mpfi front throttle engines react very little to TB size.
 
I have the Holley Sniper intake and I hate the noise it makes at idle...that looks exactly like the Sniper intake.

Was yours milled flat on the bottom like my pics? What I found with the holleys, Is they were never trued up. The bottom surface was still black coated. They distort slightly when torqued, and you get that pulse/tin can sound. I 100% know what you are talking about. That's why I ensured ours are milled and checked. Amongst the other changes/improvements noted.

Have you tried a self adhesive insulator pad stuck to the bottom? Just curious if a sound deadening material would help you.
 
I doubt I'll be putting one on my '20 Ram truck, but they look like great parts and would be out front for a G3 swap.

Honestly I do not remember. I would have to pull the intake back off to check it. I can put my hand on top of the intake and it kills off a lot of the noise. I have the car in storage but when I get it back out I'll try some sound deadener on the bottom. Thanks for the response.

I am interested in your new throttle body. I just bought a 21 scat pack challenger and was wondering if your throttle body would make a nice little upgrade for my car? Your add says it will work on my 6.4 with tuning. What kind of tuning?

Thanks for the interest! For some OEM ECU's, I've found that a hard TPS reset is needed to reset the throttle position to zero. Most claim that all you need is to scan/clear for codes, as it does a soft reset, and/or disconnect the battery over night, but in some cases, you can still see some mild idle fluttering as the throttle blade isn't in exactly the same spot as the factory TB. I threw one on my wifes 2015, and saw no drivability issues with a battery disconnect, but we also had a police cruiser as a test car that ran/drove/idled normal most of the time, but was found to run alot better with a hard reset. this is true of ANY throttle body change on a late model car, not just our throttle body.

All that being said...if you're just replacing a stock TB, on a stock engine, with no other upgrades, then a TB isn't going to yield much. To the point of, I wouldn't mess with a fine running 2021 if you're not going to be doing at least full bolt ons. Pretty sure the 6.4's were 80mm TB's in that year, but much like throwing a 850 Double pumper on a stock 360...the engine wont benefit from the extra air. Now go from 80MM to a 92MM on something with a nice cam...yes, it'll be noticeable.

I am trying to install my 650HP stroked 6.1 into my 96 dakota, but the weather is not helping. Lol it will be my race only play toy.

Got it! In that case, I would say start with the TB in conjunction with the long tubes, and get it tuned. Or best case, long tubes, cam, tb, all at once.
