boring my 318

-
I was real cheap when I did my build 11 years ago! I kept the original heads and ported and did bowl work to them and also put 1.88 int 1.60 exh. valves in them. I am running about 9.5:1 compression and it has lasted about 11 years like I said and put about 60 - 80 thousand miles on the motor

in the book i bought it said that i could use the W2 heads not the alumm. one but the other ones any info on these im going 302 but jsut want some info

They will attach, yes. But some types need special stuff with them, and all will have too much volume for your build. "Can" and "should" are not the same...lol

DB15, you keep on asking about overall compresion. It can not be calulated until you have a known piston and or known piston height. You can say I have MoPar 9.0-1 pistons, but that truly does no good until you know the height or someone else knows the height. Then theres gasket bore and thickness as well as overbore if done and cylinder head cc amount.

ok so i have gotten 1 of 2 302 heads that i ordered.

now after i get these checked out for cracks and hot bathed what should i rebuild them with.

adjustable hydraulic rockers
hydraulic lifters
upgraded mopar springs or crane cam springs
360 valves

please help thanks
