So far the vintage decals to arrive got a bunch more coming from all over to make it authentic looking.

Today turned out pretty productive, even with a late start. I picked up a folding welding table for next to nothing off Marketplace. Managed to knock out 80% of the pedal assembly, just waiting on the Wilwood master cylinders to come in so I can finish it up. After that, I mocked up the pedal box in the car and made an aluminum support plate to fill the spot where the old master cylinders were mounted.

I also started filling in the cowl and planned out the weight reduction for the hinges. On another note, the vintage contingency decals have started arriving in preparation for when the car goes back east for paint and body. Right now, I’m looking for an old, original NHRA decal featuring the front-engine dragster if anyone has one they'd be willing to sell. I’m replacing all the windows since the ones on the car can’t be saved. The new windows will be lettered with “Pro” and include my NHRA driver’s number.

What is going on with the door hinges?

Im going to drill them out and smooth them to save as much weight as I can. You can see the yellow dots and lines are drill and cut plans
Oh okay, yeah that's what I was wondering about.
The yellow line .
Kick *** dude, thank you for passing on anything great idea.

What do you think will be the effect from drilling out all the holes under the cowl ?
I'm wondering if that might cause more valuable air movement inside the interior for those hot summer days at the dragstrip, along with taking out more weight

I don't think so as the vent and wiper holes will be filled in smooth so only the ends will be open and at that very little to no air flow
