Prices for used or NOS parts can vary from a good deal to stupid money for junk.
I've been going to Carlisle since around '92. It never ceases to amaze me how some people drag the same junk out there year after year and want top buck for their stuff. It's funny to watch some set up - they drag out a blue tarp and literally dump the parts out on to the ground.
If I was a vendor, I would want to sell as much as possible and turn around and buy more to sell. You hear some vendors ***** about slow sales, but they ask rediculous prices for their parts.
The NOS vendors? I've purchased lots of NOS parts for my Road Runner, and I have been willing to pay a lot for nice rare parts, but I have passed on a lot too. I love the term "shelf ware". Moving your parts from show to show waiting for a sucker to pay your price and in the process your parts get all scratched up and ya tell people "that's shelf ware".
