There is a model car thread but I don't do many of them. I do a lot of plane kits so I thought would star one. Any one do plane kits? Jump on in and share if you do.

Here is two P-47's attacking an HE-111. All three are old 1/72 Lindberg kits.

It cool post up any thing you got. I am the other way around. Got 30 car kits and have built one. LOL Just cant get in to them.

I built most of those when i was 12-15 yo i tried to dothe detailing that some of these guys do on fabo [beautiful jobs by the way] but i had no patince for it.My father worked as a salesman for hobbies and crafts when i was growin up and the dealers were always returning models for missing parts [all my father had to take back to his job was the box ends i got to keep the kit] if i had to count every one my father let me take i figure it would be in the thousands and that don't count the cox gas airplanes/cars [at one time i had 20 airplanes and one of every car cox made] and the slot cars ect. I was a lucky kid [if my father was not able to give them to me i would never have been able to have them] they were [parents] not well off.

Sweet planes! If you cut a round sheet of thin clear plastic to match the diameter of the prop, you can make it look like the prop is turning when it is hung from the ceiling. Just glue it between the spinner and the fuselage.

Also, you can use an eraser on the plastic to get the turning effect... kinda hard to explain, i'll try and find a photo...

So is this the Burnt goes and flies a kite thread? :)

Cool models.

Here's some of mine.

Cell phone pics but hey these are not for show, these are electric flyers. I did aircraft maintenance many moons ago. This is as close as I get now.

Nasty red beast - Slow Stick - a wreck but had to show what I cut my piloting teeth on. Crashed and rebuilt, hopped up with brushless motor, modified many times.

Yellow biplane - Tiger Moth

White monoplane - E-Starter - my graduation to ailerons (my only plane never crashed).

"Saran Wrap" micro - Vapor - flies at walking speed, can fly in a 15' x 15' room. Packs up in a little hangar box. Battery smaller than the end of your pinky finger.

Yellow micro - Champ - gets the most air time now. Fantastic little flyer so light it bounces off things without damage. Realistic in the air. Flies in the back yard.

Others have not survived (RIP).

Would love to get in to R/C. Want to get one like your Cub then do it up to look like an L-2 Taylorcraft. Like this Hobby Craft L-4 I converted to look like my friends L-2. I got some stick time in it. Very fun to fly.

Very nice Tony. Thats way cool that you could do that for him.

Is that the Monogram 1/48 kit? I got one in the stash I need to build if I can ever find the shelf space. Looks like some one forgot to put in some nose weight. Tisk Tisk Tisk. LOL

Wish me fingers worked well enough to to that type of delicate stuff.....

How much of the p39f did you need to put together? Landing gear (front) looks pretty neat?? Was that kit finished cosmeticly, or did you need to the graphics? Looks really nice.
