cam for 318?

-
That's the exact cam I'm running in my stock '79 - 318 in the Duster now.

It would like to see at least a 3.23 gear with a stock diameter tire. If you have less than 3.23's and NO lifters with the cam, use a set of Rhoads lifters.
This cam is capable of 14's without any major work. Well besides a set of gears.

I would hold off and swap when you can get a 4 barrel carb and dual plane, it may run with the 2 barrel on it but won't run well.

I actually run the same cam in a 318 Dart right now, it has a little chop to the idle and 12-13" of vac, it has headers, 2 1/2" duals, 600 carb, performer intake, cleaned up #302's and 4.10 gears, it's pretty peppy for a stock 318 with a few bolt ons. I haven't had it to the track yet and I'll probably get some radials for it before I go since the street tires on it don't really hook at all.
