I don't know, I think I'm an ok driver, I've road raced (HPDE) my vette a bunch of times, its only putting down 395 HP to the rear wheels but certainly the hi speed rated tires with no sidewall is less forgiving. This was happening in the muscle car era also which were reflected in the insurance premiums skyrocketing by 1970.I've never been a fan of the Corvette.
Never known any of their owners to be excellent drivers...theyre just able to barely control the power of their car, which is already light in the *** end. In other words.. aside from an all-out speed contest you could have a ******* nothing car and be out front if you're a good driver and NOT crash especially
