The instrument panel on my 67 Barracuda has dirty, cloudy plastic. You can barely see mileage, and the other gauges. I know there are products you wipe on faded headlight housings. Would these work ? Anything else that would clean it up to make more visible ?

This product works great!

Dust gets inside and does this.

Remove, gently clean it, then plastic polish on the outside only. The inside just needs gently cleaned. The inside isn't scratched unless you do it cleaning it.

The plastic face on my radio was really cloudy years ago and cleaning it and putting rubbing compound on it didn't do the trick.

I wound up sanding it with 2000grit and then used a compound with a wool pad on a drill. Then I used a less abrasive compound with a foam pad on a drill and it came out crystal clear.

I'd try the PlastX first. I used it to clean the haze on a plastic convertible rear window this summer. Novus makes products too but I haven't tried them.

Rubbing compound is too abrasive for clear plastic.
