I have a complete from pan to carb original 1971 Dodge Plymouth 340 Motor. J-Heads, factory 3512100 4 barrel intake. original exhaust manifolds. Original Thermoquad carburetor with idle solenoid. Throttle linkage with partial kick down (so it was obviously out of an automatic car). Even has a points distributor. Only things missing are the cap, plug wires, lower pulley, and original valve covers.
I do not know the history of the engine other than the VIN on the block is 1B311565. I got the motor in trade for some work and was planning on putting it into my 1972 Demon. Now that I see that it is actually a '71 motor, I am changing plans. A buddy of mine has a 1972 340 with my name on it
I was told it ran when it was pulled but I am saying it needs to be gone through and/or rebuilt. Yes, it is ugly and greasy but rather than clean it up and give it an aerosol overhaul, I wanted you to see it in it's true condition. Yes, it spins over by hand, freely.
Casting date is 6-30-70 so it is correct for an early 1971 Challenger Cuda Charger Duster Dart Demon or any other 71 Mopar. Granted you could put it in whatever you want.
I do not have any other parts for it. What you see is what you get. I do not want to ship it. You must come & pick it up with cash.
This is not a fire sale. I do not "have to sell it". You will notice I did not use the words must sell in the description so please don't insult me with low ball offers. I can always shove it under a bench until I find another '71 Challenger to drop it in.
